Axians has joined the L.A.B. project of the Veneto Region and is focusing on new talents

Panozzo: “Together with Cà Foscari University and the Veneto Region we have built a virtuous model that must be replicated everywhere”

Rome, 15th July 2021. It is called LAB, Laboratory for Artifacts and Business Models, and is a project developed jointly by the Venetian Universities Iuav and Ca’ Foscari, strongly supported by the regional administration to support employment in the area of thevcomplex industrial crisis of Venice. Through this initiative, to which Axians (of the Vinci Energies Italia Group) has also joined, the universities, supported by partner companies, will have the opportunity to present an innovation center dedicated to technology transfer at the service of companies, territory and public administration to create digital first products and business models, combining digital technologies and humanistic culture with the aim of promoting projects to support employment in the Area of the industrial crisis in Venice.

According to Axians, a leading company in digital transformation, the ICT sector – in addition to being particularly innovative – it is evolving rapidly.  For this reason, staff training and constant updating are essential to get the best advantage from this business. Among the technologies of the future on which to focus, Axians, has identified Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

“In 2020, thanks to the collaboration with Cà Foscari University, we set up a working group within our Axians Lab to make the offer of our services even more efficient and effective. This has saved hundreds of hours for each agent involved with automated reporting tools, avoiding human error and allowing us to place more value on our customers. We could not, therefore, fail to adhere to this call with enthusiasm. The results of this extraordinary team made up of university students and members of our company are convincing us to extend our commitment to this project and continue to collaborate with these guys” – commented Thomas Panozzo, Managing Director – North East, Axians Italia

The one developed in these months of collaboration between the University and the company, is a system that will allow customers to monitor, through a single portal, all the services acquired by Axians. The first version of the platform for example, is already able to collect and report data from different services, providing customers with a single customizable access point to information and allowing operators to create and deliver reports of high added value. The platform is ready and will soon be launched with pilot companies.

“Academia and industry must be able to have dialogue, especially in the sector we represent. The freshness of new talents, fueled by large universities, and the experience gained in the field of operators and managers like those we have in-house represent the perfect combination to develop performing business areas. This is exactly the framework in which the relationship between Axians, CA Foscari University, the Veneto Region and IUAV is grafted and for this we thank all the institutions in the field for the effort produced” – added Panozzo.
